OUR INVENTION ABSTRACT: The invention relates to a compact commercial size fish culturing system that is suitable to easily fit within, be installed to, and retrofit specifically long, narrow agricultural style buildings commonly used to house and grow poultry, swine, or other animals; can additionally be fitted to other existing buildings or new construction. The suitability relates to the entire system being contained totally within the footprint of a single rectangular tank. The tank is divided hydraulically into a series of cells that are equal in width and length with one cell being dedicated to water quality treatment and pumping. Each individual cell follows diameter to depth ratio guidelines that have been developed for round tanks so that the tanks quickly force the removal of solids being generated within the water column as a result of feeding fish being cultured. The result is that the tank’s cells are all in alignment, the bottoms of the cells are co-planar, and all the functions are integrated into the tank’s footprint. Minimum disturbance of the existing floor and structure of the building is enabled, existing utilities are reused, thus reducing plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and construction cost.
